Traveler Reviews of Kallari

Cosy Kichwa haven in Gringolandia

Rating: 100%

I found the Kallari cafe to be a great place to escape the crowds of the Mariscal, and to sit back and enjoy a real coffee and the best chocolate brownies in town. Surrounded by bamboo and the gorgeous rainforest crafts, it manages to create an atmosphere unequalled in the rest of Quito. Not to mention the free crafts and Kichwa classes, and to-die-for guacamole, I'd definitely recommend it to fellow travellers.

I have previously lived in the Amazon Rainforest and today visited the Kallari Cafe in Quito and I must say it recreates the ambiance of the Amazon better than any tacky Rainforest Cafe chain can. Also, I have never been anywhere where 100 % of the profits go direcly to the producer organization. Truely amazing. But don\'t trust me-- Check it out for Yourself.
